Two Vehicle Injury Accident – Driver Cited for Failure to Yield

OFFENSE: Two vehicle injury accident – Driver cited for Failure to Yield

On December 18, 2017, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of South 66^th Road and East Highway 136. Once on scene it was found that Heath Grone, 34 years of age of Filley, NE, was driving his Chevy Colorado southbound on South 66^th Road when he failed to stop for the posted stop sign at East Highway 136. Grone’s vehicle collided with a westbound Dodge Ram pick-up on East Highway 136 owned by Charter Communications and driven by Eric Bledsaw, 46 years of age of Filley, NE.

Beatrice Fire and Rescue were on scene and assessed both drivers. Grone refused medical treatment and Bledsaw was transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Grone was issued a citation for Failure to Yield. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and alcohol/drugs are not a factor.
