Accidental Gunshot

LOCATION: Beatrice Community Hospital    

OFFENSE: Accidental Gunshot

On 02/27/18 at approximately 1751 hrs. Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Beatrice Community Hospital after a 13 year old male had been brought to the emergency department with a gunshot wound. The investigation determined that the gunshot was accidental and no law violations are believed to have occurred. The injuries to the 13 year old were not life threatening but did require the male to be transported to a hospital in Lincoln for further medical treatment.
