DATE & TIME: Monday, May 6, 2019 at approximately 1:00 P.M.

LOCATION: Blue River Crate and Pallet, Blue Springs, NE      

OFFENSE: Assault

Deputy Chavez, was assigned an alleged assault call for service on 05/06/2019 at approximately 1:00 P.M. at Blue River Crate and Pallet, located in Blue Springs, NE. The victim, Ricardo Flores, 57 years of age, reported Daniel Disney, 58 years of age of Blue Springs, NE, Flores’ supervisor, had struck him over the head with a 1X4 piece of lumber. Flores stated Disney was upset with him due to making a mistake and cutting the wrong piece of lumber. Flores stated when he was struck on top of the head, he felt pain. Flores showed Deputy Chavez the bump on the top of his head. Deputy Chavez felt the bump on his head with his hand and he felt his scalp raised and the bump being approximately the size of a walnut. There were multiple witnesses to the assault who were working in the area of Flores. The piece of lumber allegedly used to strike Flores was seized, which was measured to be six feet long.       

Disney was charged with the following: N.R.S. 28-309 2^nd Degree Assault & N.R.S. 28-1205(1) Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony.
