ATV Accident/Rollover

LOCATION: B-line Road east of Blue Springs

OFFENSE: ATV Accident/Rollover

On September 30^th 2017 at approximately 0319hrs Deputies were dispatched to Beatrice Community Hospital to an ATV rollover that occurred in the rural Blue Springs area.  Deputies were told by the driver, Dakotah Houseman, 23 of Wymore, that a gray 2007 Can-Am was eastbound on B-line Road east of Blue Springs when a deer jumped out in front of the ATV.  The vehicle lost control and left the roadway, hitting a culvert causing the ATV to go airborne.

A female passenger was injured during the accident with non-life threatening injuries. The female was transported by private vehicle to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment.

It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the accident. Helmets were not being use by either occupant at the time of the accident.  The exact location of the accident is still unknown.  The Investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
