On 01/31/2019 at approximately 8:00 PM Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with assistance from Beatrice Rural Fire and Beatrice Fire and Rescue responded to a single vehicle injury accident on West State Highway 4 just east of SW 89th Road.
A 2012 Dodge Journey driven by Patricia Parde, 37, of Lincoln, NE was traveling westbound on Highway 4 when several deer entered the roadway. The vehicle collided with the deer causing front-end damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. The impact of the collision caused the passenger front and side airbags to deploy on the vehicle.
The passenger of the vehicle identified as Tammy Ross, 37, of Wilber, NE sustained possible non-life injuries to her neck, back and shoulder from the airbag deployment. Beatrice Fire and Rescued treated Ross on location and transported her to Beatrice Community Hospital for further medical treatment. The driver of the vehicle and her minor child were not injured in the accident.
