The Gage County Sheriff’s Office was called to a rural farmhouse south of Wymore on Wednesday, May 15^th, 2019 at approximately 10:40 pm when family members discovered sixty-year-old Harlan Rickers deceased in a barn on the farm.

The Wymore Fire Department also responded to the scene, however Rickers was not able to be revived.  A Gage County Sheriff’s Office investigator was assigned to the case and the Gage County Attorney’s Office was briefed on the situation.

No foul play is suspected. Family members were briefed at the scene about the investigation and Griffiths-Hovendick came to the farm to take Mr. Rickers into their care for funeral proceedings.
