Driving Under Suspension

DATE & TIME: 09-10-2019 / 15:51

LOCATION: Lincoln Street / Bellwood Drive

OFFENSE: Driving Under Suspension

CASE #: 2019-4870

On Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at approximately 3:45 pm, a Special Services sergeant at the courthouse observed 29-year-old Lacey Billenwillms at the courthouse, then saw her enter a silver Jeep Wrangler and drive off, westbound on Grant Street toward Sixth Street. He checked and confirmed she had a suspended driver’s license. He radioed to Southeast Communications that Billenwillms was driving and had a suspended license. A Special Services deputy and a Gage County Sheriff’s Office investigator were able to locate the vehicle at 6th and Lincoln, but due, to traffic congestion, the investigator was not able to catch up to the vehicle until it was turning onto Bellwood Drive from Lincoln Street.

The investigator made a traffic stop on the vehicle in the neighborhood south of Lincoln Street and a road patrol deputy in the area also arrived on scene. The investigator arrested Billenwillms for driving under suspension and issued her a criminal citation for that offense.
