Drug Take Back Day

DATE & TIME: April 30, 2016 @ 1000-1400 Hours

LOCATION: Gage County Sheriff’s Office

OFFENSE: Drug Take-Back Day

CASE #: N/A

On April 30, 2016 the Gage County Sheriff’s Office participated in the National Drug Take-Back Day sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). Between 1000-1400 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office received 132 pounds of unused/unwanted prescription medication that was turned over to our office. Of the 132 pounds, 29.5 pounds of the items turned in were Schedule 4 or lower drugs. We would like to thank everyone that participated in this program and made the day a success.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office would like to show a special gratitude to Christina Lyons and the M.A.P.S. Program for continuing to help fund and support the program. We would also like to thank Deines Pharmacy for helping out throughout the year by collecting unused/unwanted medication that people would like to get rid of so they do not have to have it in their homes.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office would like everyone to know that if they would like to have any unused or unwanted prescription removed from their household and disposed of, they can contact our office for help year round. If you decide to contact our office, please call Sergeant Schley #9035 at 402-223-5222 EXT. 209 and leave a message with your name, number, and the reason you are calling. You can also email Sergeant Schley at bs9035@gcsone.us. Thanks you again to everyone who helped make this program a continued success.
