Failure to Report for Sex Offender Registration Verification

OFFENSE: Failure to Report for Sex Offender Registration Verification

Travis Jay Warnsing, 36-years-old, of Beatrice, Nebraska was arrested at the Gage County Sheriff’s Office on 1205-2017 for failure to report for sex offender registration verification during the month of November 2017. 

Warnsing, a registered sex offender, was required to report to the Gage County Sheriff’s Office during November 2017 to verify his information reported to the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. Warnsing failed to show up at any time during November and the Nebraska State Patrol Sex Offender Registration Unit notified investigators with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office of the violation.

An investigator with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation and confirmed that Warnsing had, indeed failed to report to the Gage County Sheriff’s Office during November. The investigator telephoned Warnsing, who agreed to come surrender himself at the sheriff’s office, which he did shortly after 3:00 pm on Tuesday, 12-05-2017.

The investigator arrested Warnsing and took him back to the Gage County Detention Center where he was booked into jail by corrections officers.
