Fatality Plane Crash SW 29th & Ash Road

The Gage County Attorney’s Office and the Gage County Sheriff's Office issue a press release confirming that two people have died in a small plane crash that occurred South West of Cortland Nebraska on Saturday morning, October 17th. Law enforcement are it the process of notifying the next of kin. Further details will be forthcoming after the FAA representatives are on scene and have completed their investigation.

Responding agencies include, Clatonia Fire and Rescue, Cortland QRTs and Nebraska State Patrol.

UPDATE

The two fatalities have been identified as Jerry A. Allder, 68, of Lincoln and David A Schneider, 52, of Lincoln.  It is unknown which one was piloting the plane at the time of the crash.  The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.  Additional inquiries regarding the crash should be submitted to the FAA.
