Female Arrested On Mutiple Offenses

DATE & TIME: Thursday December 5, 2019; 10:00 A.M.

LOCATION: 1314 N. 19^th Ave.; Beatrice, NE   

OFFENSE: Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Child Abuse.

On 12/05/19 at approximately 10:00 AM the Gage County Sheriff’s Office and Beatrice Police Department executed a search warrant at 1314 N. 19^th Ave. in Beatrice, which is the residence of Brandy Bennett, age 40 of Beatrice. The search warrant was part of an investigation involving methamphetamine distribution occurring in Gage County. During a search of the residence investigators found approximately 1.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a methamphetamine pipe, and long sword in Bennett’s bedroom. Bennett is a convicted felon and is on federal probation for Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance. A juvenile male was also discovered to be living at the residence and he was found in possession of marijuana paraphernalia. The juvenile was removed from the home and a placement was found for him. Bennett was lodged in the Gage County Detention Center on the above charges.
