On Tuesday, 12-26-2017 at approximately 10:28 am, a Gage County Sheriff’s Office investigator and Gage County Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with the Wymore police chief, arrested 36-year-old James Arnett Richards at his residence on a warrant for First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child. The Gage County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Wymore Police Department on the investigation and the two agencies arrested Richards after the issuance of the warrant.

The charges stem from incidents that occurred in Wymore, Nebraska with a 3-year-old victim. The Child Advocacy Center conducted a forensic interview of the victim and that interview, along with an interview of the suspect, resulted in the issuance of the warrant.

James Arnett Richards is also a registered sex offender and was arrested at the residence he had listed on the sex offender registry.
