Flight to Avoid Arrest - Drug Violations

DATE & TIME:  04-15-2016 @ 1114 hours                           

LOCATION:      8th and High Street, Beatrice                      

OFFENSE:        Flight to Avoid Arrest – Drug Violations  

CASE #:          2016-1921   

At approximately 1114 hours on 04-15-2016, a brief pursuit ensued after a traffic violation was observed by Deputy Brydl in the area of 10th and Court streets in Beatrice. 

A green Suzuki motorcycle accelerated rapidly in an attempt to elude law enforcement.  The motorcycle was kept in sight as it traveled in a path from the origin of the violation to 10th and Lincoln and back south to the area of 8th and High where the driver lost control and fled on foot. 

The driver, Casey Oldfield 25 of Beatrice, was located and subsequently arrested approximately 1 ½ blocks away.  Oldfield was identified by witnesses as he fled the scene.  Subsequent to Oldfield’s arrest, a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana were also recovered.
