Rollover Accident South of Apple Road on Highway 43

DATE & TIME: December 13^th, 2016 @ 1800 hours

LOCATION: South of Apple Road on Highway 43

OFFENSE: Rollover Injury accident                

CASE #: 2016-6714               

On Tuesday December 13^th, 2016 at approximately 1800 hours, Gage County Deputies along with Adams Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the area of Apple Road and Highway 43 in reference to a one vehicle rollover accident.

When the first deputy arrived the subject, Taylor Schafer, age 22 of Hickman, was already being transported to Bryan West with injuries.  A witness at the scene stated she had been following the vehicle since Bennet, southbound on Highway 43, and observed the vehicle to be all over the roadway.  Near Apple Road and Highway 43, she stated the vehicle left the roadway, hit a guard rail and rolled 2 or 3 times. The vehicle came to rest in the east ditch.  

The accident is still under investigation.  Charges are pending. 

At this time alcohol and drugs are unknown to be a factor in the accident.
