Injury Accident 6/13/18

At 1521 hours, deputies with the Gage County Sheriff's Office responded to a two vehicle injury accident on US Highway 41 West & SW 100 Road, Clatonia.

Lorrica Hartwig, age 30 of rural Crete, was operating a Ford Escape traveling northbound on SW 100 Road in Clatonia.  Jonie Stitt, age 29 of Alexandria NE was operating a Scion Cube westbound on US Highway 41 West in Clatonia.  The northbound Ford Escape failed to stop at the stop sign at SW 100 Road and US Highway 41 West and collided with the westbound Scion.

Jonnie Stitt was transported to Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln with non-life threatening injuries.  Both vehicles were a total loss.  The driver of the Ford Escape, Lorrie Hartwig, was issued a citation for violation of a stop sign.

Clatonia Fire & Rescue assisted with the investigation.
