Injury Accident

DATE & TIME: 04-03-20 @ 0329 hrs.      

LOCATION:   US Hwy 77 and S 1^st Rd.

OFFENSE:  Injury Accident

On 04-03-20 at 0329 hrs. The Gage County Sheriff’s Office, and Wymore Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a single vehicle roll over accident on U.S. Hwy 77 near S 1^st Road in which the driver was trapped inside the vehicle.

An investigation conducted at the scene indicated that a blue 2005 Ford pick up truck, driven by 28 year old Maranda Moore of Wymore, was traveling westbound on Hwy 77, west of S 1^st Rd. when she lost control of the vehicle on the ice-covered road surface. The vehicle entered the south ditch and flipped onto its top, trapping Ms. Moore inside. Ms. Moore was extricated from the vehicle with the assistance of a Nebraska Department of Transportation employee. She was then transported from the scene by ground ambulance for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been a factor. Occupant restraints are believed to have been in use.
