CASE #: 2021-0300
On Saturday, 01-23-2021, at approximately 5:02 pm, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a one vehicle rollover accident on US Highway 77 and Aspen Road, just south of Cortland, Nebraska.
An investigation at the scene determined that 18-year-old Kaden Glynn was northbound on Highway 77 near Aspen Road when his vehicle hit a slick spot on the highway. Glynn’s vehicle began to spin, drove off the roadway to the right, became airborne and landed on its side in a culvert.
The Cortland Quick Response Team (QRT) from Cortland Fire and Rescue was dispatched along with Clatonia Fire and Rescue’s ambulance. Glynn was able to extricate himself from the vehicle and was treated by paramedics at the scene and released. He was wearing his seatbelt, which prevented him from being ejected from the vehicle during the accident, and was reportedly going 15-20 miles per hour under the speed limit at the time of the accident.
Speed and alcohol are not considered a factor in this accident. Huls Towing was called to remove the vehicle from the scene.
