Injury Accident at SW 29th Road & Highway 41

On Friday 02-03-17 at approximately 5:25 pm, 18-year-old Dylan G. Buss of Beatrice, Nebraska was driving west on State Hwy 41 approaching SW 29^th Road.  27 year old Blake R, Huls of Cortland, Nebraska was also driving west on State Hwy 41 slowing down to turn south onto SW 29^th Road.

Mr. Buss was driving a 1996 Honda Accord 4 door Sedan and Mr. Huls was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado K2500 Heavy Duty Pickup.  The pickup was pulling a gooseneck trailer.  Mr. Huls’ vehicle was not fully stopped to make the southbound turn onto SW 29th Road when Mr. Buss’s vehicle struck the rear end of the Gooseneck trailer.

Mr. Buss sustained injuries and ambulances from Cortland Fire and QRT, Clatonia Rescue, and Med 6 Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded.  Mr. Buss was transported to Bryan West in Lincoln by Clatonia Rescue. Mr. Huls was not injured.   

Gage County Deputies investigated the accident with the assistance of Nebraska State Patrol Troopers.
