Injury Accident

LOCATION: Hwy 77 south of Hackberry Rd.

OFFENSE: Injury Accident

On 10-08-18 at 2257 hrs. Beatrice Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Rural Fire and Rescue and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatch to a single vehicle injury accident on Hwy 77 south of Hackberry Rd.

An investigation concluded that a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by 16 year old Teirstyn Murry of Beatrice, was traveling southbound on Hwy 77 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it left the roadway. The vehicle continued into the west ditch, struck the dirt embankment of the ditch and then came to rest in an adjacent field.

The driver was transported by ground ambulance to Beatrice Community Hospital to be treated for neck pain.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been a factor. Occupant restraint use is unknown.
