Injury Accident at Main & Ash, Adams

DATE & TIME: April 13, 2017 @ 1909 Hours                        

 

LOCATION: Main and Ash Street, Adams, Nebraska                        

 

OFFENSE: Injury Accident resulting in Citation                     

 

CASE #: 2017-1922               

On April 13, 2017 at approximately 1909 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office and Adams Rescue responded to the intersection of Main and Ash Street in Adams, Nebraska in reference to a single vehicle rollover accident.

 

The investigation determined the Ford F-150 pickup was traveling northbound on South 162nd Road and was approaching a curve on the roadway which turns into Main Street in Adams. As the vehicle was traveling around the curve, it began to lose control. Skid marks on the roadway indicated the vehicle lost control for approximately 308 feet. The vehicle appeared to have over-corrected and entered the ditch on the south side of the roadway just east of the intersection of Main and Ash Street in Adams. As the vehicle entered the ditch, it began to roll. The vehicle rolled approximately 2.5 times and came to a rest on its top in the ditch on the south side of the roadway near the intersection of Main and Ash Street.

 

The driver of the vehicle sustained minor cuts on his hands as a result of the accident and the passenger in the vehicle did not sustain any injuries. Both the driver and passenger refused medical treatment from Adams Rescue.

 

The driver of the vehicle, 23 year old Zachary Crouch of Adams was cited for Careless Driving. Seat belts were being utilized by both the driver and passenger in the vehicle and air bags did not deploy. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident but speed was a factor of the accident.
