DATE & TIME:   09-04-16 2340 hours

LOCATION: S 176th Road between Apple and Ash Road

OFFENSE: Injury Accident

CASE #: 2016-4630

On 09-04-16 around 2340 hours, Adams Fire and Rescue and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover injury accident in the area of S 176th Road and Apple Road. The accident scene was located by EMS on S 176th Road, approximately ¼ mile north of Ash Road.

An accident investigation conducted at the scene indicated that a silver 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven by 25 year old Matthew Nieveen of Rural Adams, was traveling northbound on S 176th Road. The vehicle entered the west ditch and then rolled multiple times, before coming to rest on its top in a field.

Mr. Nieveen was transported from the scene by ground ambulance to Bryan LGH West for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

It is unknown if Mr. Nieveen was using occupant restraints. There was no air bag deployment. It is believed that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
