On June 25, 2017 at approximately 2135 hours, the Beatrice Rural Fire Department, Beatrice Fire & Rescue, and deputies from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a two vehicle injury accident on S 36th Road South of Belvidere Road.
A 1989 Ford F 250 driven by Sally Stevens, age 55 of Beatrice, was traveling northbound on S 36th Road south of Belvidere Drive when it struck the rear of a 2003 Pontiac GT1, driven by Shawn Fralin, age 46 of Beatrice, that was stopped in the northbound lane of travel. It was reported that the Pontiac did not have any rear light on.
Seat belts in the Pontiac were not in use at the time of the accident. Beatrice Fire & Recuse transported a male to Beatrice Community Hospital for injuries sustained during the collision believed to be non-life threatening.
Airbags did not deploy in either vehicle. Neither drugs nor alcohol was suspected to be a factor in the accident.
This vehicle accident is still under investigation by the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.
