Injury Accident on US Hwy 77 at Pickrell Road

On December 3, 2016 at approximately 1650 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Pickrell QRT and Beatrice Rescue responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on US Highway 77 approximately 100 feet south of Pickrell Road. 

A 2001 Buick Regal was traveling northbound on US Highway 77 when it lost control due to slick road conditions. The Buick slid into the southbound lane of travel and entered the ditch on the west side of US Highway 77. The Buick then slid into a creek bed and rolled onto its side and came to a rest at that location.

The driver of the Buick, 66 year old Charlene Stanley of Firth, Nebraska, was transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital by Beatrice Rescue. Her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Seat belts were being utilized by the driver and air bags did deploy in the vehicle.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected to be a causing factor in the accident.
