On 04-19-18 at 1922 hrs. Beatrice Rural Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Fire and Rescue and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a single vehicle injury accident that had occurred on S 36th Road, north of Belvidere Dr. An investigation conducted at the scene indicated that a white 2000 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by 29 year old Delani Lansford of Beatrice, was traveling southbound on S 36th Road when the vehicle entered the west ditch. The driver overcorrected, crossed both lanes of travel, struck a mailbox and entered the east ditch. The vehicle struck the ditch embankment, causing damage to the vehicle. The vehicle continued south in the ditch and came to rest in a pasture area east of the roadway.
Ms. Landsford was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital by ground ambulance for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The two other occupants of the vehicle indicated that they had not been injured.
It is unknown if the vehicle occupants were using restraints. Both front airbags of the vehicle were deployed.
It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
