DATE & TIME: 10-26-2019 / 1000-1400 (10:00 am – 2:00 pm)

LOCATION: Gage County Sheriff’s Office

OFFENSE: National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the National Prescription Drug Take Back day, Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the sheriff’s office, 612 Lincoln Street.  Residents can stop by the sheriff’s office and drop off expired or unused / unneeded prescription medications. The reception of the prescriptions will be on the east side of the sheriff’s office. Deputies will be on duty at the sheriff’s office to receive and secure the medications.

Unused or expired prescription medications should never be flushed or poured down the drain. These potentially dangerous pharmaceutical substances can contribute to contamination of our water supply if not disposed of properly. The sheriff’s office also has drop boxes available at the courthouse and in the sheriff’s office lobby that can be used during business hours Monday through Friday.

Enter the drop off area off Lincoln Street on the EAST side of the sheriff’s office. Deputies will be on the scene to receive the medications.
