One Vehicle Injury accident

One-person was injured Sunday evening in a one-vehicle accident at the junction of Nebraska Highway 103 and Nebraska Highway 4.

On Sunday, February 02, 2020 at approximately 16:50 hours, Gage County Deputies along with Beatrice Rural Fire and the Beatrice Fire Department were dispatched to an injury accident at the junction of Nebraska Highway 103 and Nebraska Highway 4.

The accident investigation revealed, Jessica Leach, 35, of Lincoln, was southbound on Hwy 103 in her 2003 Chrysler 300 when her brakes failed at the junction of Highway 4, where she went through the T-intersection, down into the south ditch of Hwy 4, struck the embankment, and came to rest in a field on the southside of Hwy 4.

Ms. Leach was transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Airbags deployed. Restraints not in use. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor in the accident.
