One Vehicle Injury Accident

LOCATION: US Highway 77 / S.W. 2nd Road

TIME: 17:50 hours             

OFFENSE: One Vehicle Injury Accident

CASE: 2020-3950   

On Saturday, August 29, 2020, at approximately 17:50 hours, Gage County Deputies, along with Cortland Quick Response Team and Clatonia Rescue were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover injury accident on U.S. Hwy 77 just east of S.W. 2nd Road.

A preliminary accident investigation revealed, Caleb Sabatka, 27 of Beatrice, while driving west on U.S. 77 South, just west of S.W. 2nd Road, lost control of his 2007 Dodge Charger, crossing both westbound and eastbound lanes of traffic, entering the south ditch, rolling through the ditch into a bean field, coming to rest on it’s top.

Both Mr. Sabatka and his son/passenger, where transported to Bryan West Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Airbags deployed and restraints where in use.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been a factor in the accident.
