One Vehicle Injury Accident

OFFENSE: One Vehicle Injury Accident

CASE: 2020-3950   

On Saturday, August 29, 2020, at approximately 17:50 hours, Gage County Deputies, along with Cortland Quick Response Team and Clatonia Rescue were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover injury accident on U.S. Hwy 77 just east of S.W. 2^nd Road.

A preliminary accident investigation revealed, Caleb Sabatka, 27 of Beatrice, while driving west on U.S. 77 South, just west of S.W. 2^nd Road, lost control of his 2007 Dodge Charger, crossing both westbound and eastbound lanes of traffic, entering the south ditch, rolling through the ditch into a bean field, coming to rest on it’s top.

Both Mr. Sabatka and his son/passenger, where transported to Bryan West Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Airbags deployed and restraints where in use.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have been a factor in the accident.
