One Vehicle Injury Accident

OFFENSE: One Vehicle Injury Accident

On January 21, 2018, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Southeast Communication dispatched Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies to a report of a vehicle on its top near S. 148th and Cherry Roads.

Carlos Giovanie, 21, of Manhattan, Kansas, was driving a Silver 2012 Lexus east on Cherry Road when he missed the curve at S. 148 Road, struck a curve sign on the south shoulder, then drove back across Cherry Road into the north ditch where the Lexus flipped coming to rest on it’s top.

Giovanie and his passenger, Fernando Galeana, 17, also of Manhattan, Kansas, were given a ride to Adams by a passerby.  Due to minor injuries, both men were later transported by Adams Rescue to the Beatrice Community Hospital.

Both men reported they were wearing lap and shoulder belts.  No alcohol or drugs are suspected to have a factor in the accident.
