One Vehicle Accident

LOCATION: 500 Block of W Broad Street Blue Springs, NE    

OFFENSE: One vehicle accident

On May 25, 2019, at approximately 0313hrs Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with members of Wymore EMS, Wymore Fire, Blue Spring Fire, and Beatrice Fire & Rescue responded to a report of a one-vehicle rollover accident in the 500 block of W Broad Street in Blue Springs. The initial investigation showed that a red Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Preston Baehr, 16 years of age of Blue Springs, NE, was northbound on S Walnut Street. The driver violated the stop sign at S Walnut Street and W Broad Street as the vehicle turned onto W Broad Street. The vehicle began to fish trail, and the vehicle left the roadway striking a utility pole, damaging the pole.

Extrication was required to remove the driver from the vehicle. Baehr was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital by Wymore EMS with non-life threating injuries. Seat belts were not in use at the time of the accident. Alcohol is believed to be a factor. Charges are pending.
