One Vehicle Minor Injury Accident on SW 61st Road South of Pine Road

OFFENSE:                  One Vehicle Minor-Injury Accident

On June 23, 2015 at approximately 1240 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a one vehicle rollover accident on S.W. 61^st Road south of Pine Road. 

Driver, Allen Reed (40) of Beatrice was traveling south on S.W. 61^st Road driving a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country Van owned by Patrick Jurgens of Odell.  Reed reported the van’s steering wheel suddenly locked causing him to drift left entering the northbound lane, then the west ditch.  He continued in the west ditch until he struck a culvert causing the vehicle to roll onto its top.  Reed sustained cuts to his head but refused medical attention.

Road conditions are not believed to be a factor in the accident.  Lap and shoulder belts in use, alcohol use was not believed to be a factor.
