Propane Truck Fire

On January 23, 2015 at approximately 1250, a Farmers Co-Op propane truck drove off the roadway onto a soft shoulder when the rear tires caught the soft shoulder which caused the truck to roll. The truck then caught fire.  The driver (Douglas A Pieper 54 YOA) was able to exit the vehicle. The driver received minor injuries and burns.  He was transported to Beatrice Hospital by private vehicle.  The accident was investigated by the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.  Other agencies involved were Odell Fire Department, Wymore Fire and Rescue, Nebraska State Patrol, and Norris Public Power.
