Pursuit/Injury Accident on S 162nd Road & Ash Road

On May 29, 2017 at approximately 3:59 a.m., Deputies were dispatched to the Adams area to a report of a red pickup running stop signs, whipping circles, and driving on the wrong side of the road.  At approximately 4:32 a.m., Deputies located and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle later identified as a red 1996 GMC Sierra pickup at 2^nd and Main Street in Adams.  The vehicle failed to stop for deputies and a pursuit ensued.  The vehicle turned east on Main street and continued east, where it turned south on to S 162nd Road.  The vehicle soon lost control due to speed, and began to fishtail.  The vehicle left the road and did a 180 degree turn before landing on its side where it came to rest. 

The driver of the GMC was identified as 16 year old Michael Abbott of Adams. He was cited for multiple traffic offenses and released from the scene.

Adams rescue was dispatched to the scene, and a passenger was transported to Bryan West LGH for unknown injuries.
