Shortly before 11:00 am on Monday, April 6, 2020, the dog that had been stolen out of Barneston, Nebraska on Sunday was turned over to an investigator at the Gage County Sheriff’s Office. The dog appeared happy, healthy, and did not show any signs of abuse or mistreatment.

The owner was contacted and the dog was returned to her when she arrived at the sheriff’s office.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office wishes to thank the news media for sharing the original story and the public for their response and help in locating the dog.
