CASE #: 2017-1164

On 03/02/17 at approximately 12:49 hours, Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies and members of the U.S. Marshal’s Metro Area Fugitive Task Force went to 212 N. 9th St. in Wymore to look for Brandon Kopf who had a felony warrant for his arrest.  Recent information had been received which indicated that Kopf could be at this residence.  Upon arrival, deputies contacted Mindy J. Pyle, who allowed deputies inside to look for Kopf.

During a search of the residence, Brian A. Hunkins was found hiding in the bedroom closet in Pyle’s bedroom.  Hunkins was known to have two warrants out for his arrest.  In the same bedroom where Hunkins was hiding, deputies observed an H&R 922 revolver firearm laying in plain view in an opened safe near where Hunkins was hiding.  Deputies also observed multiple glass meth pipes, numerous prescription pill bottles, and a plastic baggie which contained 3.2 grams of a white crystal substance, which pre-tested positive for methamphetamine.  A digital scale was also located in the main bedroom along with $724 in U.S. currency which was located in Pyle’s wallet.  One of the prescription pill bottles contained 58 Vioxx pills, which is a legend drug.  Another $31 and a baggie containing white residue was located in the vehicle in the garage.  Hunkins, who is a convicted felon, was arrested for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Firearm during a Drug Violation, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Money, Possession of a Legend Drug, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Pyle was placed into custody and transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital for evaluation due to being under the influence of methamphetamine.  She was then transported to The Bridge Detox Center in Lincoln.  Pyle will be booked into the Gage County Detention Center following her release from The Bridge.  Pyle is facing the following charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Firearm during a Drug Violation, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Money, Possession of a Legend Drug, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
