Search Warrant leads to numerous drug charges

DATE & TIME: 06/15/15, 2300 hrs.

 

LOCATION: 300 W. 2nd St.; Blue Springs, NE

 

OFFENSE: Manufacturing a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a School; Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver; Possession of Drug Money; Maintaining a Drug House; 7 counts Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On 06/15/15 at approximately 2300 hours, Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Nebraska State Patrol Troopers went to 300 W. 2nd St. in Blue Springs, NE looking for a man who had an active warrant for his arrest.  In the process of looking for the man, deputies observed an actively growing marijuana plant in a room of the house.

 

Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence and during the execution of the search warrant, located the following items: seven actively growing marijuana plants inside flower pots, a fluorescent heating lamp, numerous empty plastic baggies, empty glass jars with marijuana residue, numerous marijuana seeds, hand tools that had been used to cultivate marijuana, jugs of water, plant food and root stimulant.  Deputies also located various amounts of dried marijuana, two water bongs, one Oxycodone pill (Schedule II), one Lorazepam pill (Schedule IV), two Clonazepam pills (Schedule IV), two Tramadol pills (Schedule IV), one Alprazolam pill (Schedule IV), five Lyrica pills (Schedule V), and fifteen pills of Codeine/Caffeine (Schedule III).

 

William W. Harvey age 53, was determined to be the main tenant of the residence.  Harvey was placed under arrest and transported to the Gage County Detention Center.  During a search of Harvey’s wallet, deputies located $170 in U.S. currency, which was believed to be the proceeds from illegal drug sales.  The currency was seized as evidence.
