Search Warrants Lead To Mutiple Arrests

DATE & TIME: September 6, 2018 @ 0848 hrs.  

LOCATION: 109 8th St.; Liberty, NE    

OFFENSE: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) with Intent to Deliver; Possession of Methamphetamine, 28-140 grams; Possession of Drug Money; Possession with Intent to Deliver a Counterfeit Controlled Substance; Possession of a Controlled Substance; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; No Drug Tax Stamp; Possession of Marijuana, less than 1 oz.; and Maintaining a Drug House, and Child Neglect.

On 09/06/18 deputies and members of the Nebraska State Patrol Drug Unit and Beatrice Police Department executed two search warrants on the property at 109 8th St. in Liberty, NE. The search warrants were the result of an ongoing investigation involving the distribution of methamphetamine from the residence. During a search of a motor home on the property and the main residence, the following items were located: approximately 40.3 grams of methamphetamine, 20.7 grams of a white crystal substance that tested negative for methamphetamine, hundreds of empty small plastic baggies, multiple digital scales, $1,881 in cash and numerous meth pipes, marijuana pipes, small baggies with suspected meth residue, and a small amount of marijuana.   

As a result of the search the following people were arrested on a variety of felony drug charges listed above: Cindy Forke, Wayne Forke, Sr., Wayne Forke, Jr., Kristy Forke, and Nathanuel Workman. All were arrested and lodged at the Gage County Detention Center.   

William Stevens was arrested on an unrelated arrest warrant resulting from an investigation into  a burglary in southern Gage County in August 2017. Stevens was also arrested for misdemeanor drug charges regarding him possessing prescription drugs for which he did not possess valid prescriptions for. In addition, these prescription drugs were in prescription pill bottles which contained defaced prescription labels. Deputies also located marijuana bongs in Stevens motor home.

The investigation is ongoing.
