Single Vehicle Accident

DATE & TIME:  Sunday, August 9, 2020

LOCATION:  S 66  Road and E Osage Road

OFFENSE: Single Vehicle Accident

On the aforementioned date and time, Deputies with the Gage County Sheriff's office were dispatched to a Motor vehicle accident on S. 66th Road and E. Osage Road. Upon arrival Deputies discovered that 19 yr old Preston Goin of Beatrice was in operation of a 2005 Dodge Neon that unexpectedly left the road way to the west and ended up in a culvert. Neither of the front air bags deployed and the vehicle had moderate damage. 

Wymore Fire and Rescue, Blue Springs Fire, Beatrice Fire and Rescue and Beatrice Police Department responded. Goin was unconscious and non-responsive at the scene. Starcare was called in to transport him to Bryan West in Lincoln.

Further investigation determined that seatbelts were NOT in use.

Investigation handled by the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.
