Single Vehicle Roll Over Injury Accident

A Gage County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a single vehicle rollover accident. The investigation determined a 16 year old male juvenile from Virginia was driving northbound on S. 162 Rd just north of Hwy 4. The male was driving a 1993 Buick Century. He stated his vehicle started to get pulled into the ditch because of the soft shoulders. He over corrected left, putting his vehicle into a skid. He then over corrected right continuing to skid. The vehicle then rolled at least twice and came to rest in the east ditch. The male was able to get out of the vehicle by himself with only a minor injury.

Local rescue was not needed. The vehicle was a total loss. Alcohol was not a factor, seat belts were in use.
