Death Investigation (Suicide)

DATE & TIME: April 9, 2017 @ 2124 Hours                          

LOCATION: 982 State Highway 43, Adams, NE 68301                                

OFFENSE: Death Investigation (Suicide)

On April 9, 2017 at approximately 2124 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office and Adams Rescue responded to 982 State Highway 43 in rural Adams in reference to a possible suicide. The reporting party indicated they heard a gunshot at the residence and believed the male who was living there may have taken his own life.

Upon the Sheriff’s Office arrival, an unconscious male was located in a bathroom at the residence with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The 52 year old male was pronounced deceased at the scene and was not transported by Adams Rescue.

The name of the deceased will be released at a later time. The next of kin has been notified. No autopsy was requested by the Gage County Attorney’s Office. The investigation is still ongoing by the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.
