Two Charges of Terroristic Threats & Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony

On 08/30/15 at approximately 8:34 PM, Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the area of Broad St. and A St. in Blue Springs on a report of a male individual threatening people with a handgun. The male suspect was located a short time later and discovered to be a juvenile. A silver pellet gun was located in the juvenile’s residence. The pellet gun was very similar in appearance to a real firearm and deputies could not determine that the firearm was only a pellet gun until the ammunition casings were removed which were similar in appearance to real ammunition. Multiple witnesses were contacted and reported that the juvenile had threatened them with the handgun and they believed it to be a real firearm. The juvenile was placed under arrest and lodged in the Sarpy County Juvenile Justice Center.
