During the service of a civil court process service on an Order of Possession and Delivery, deputies from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office discovered that property rented from Ace Rent to Own by 24-year-old Sandy Mullins of Beatrice had been sold.
An investigator for the Gage County Sheriff’s Office followed up and located some of the items at a local store in Beatrice The owners of the store were interviewed and they reported the items had been sold by Sandy Mullins and her boyfriend in January, but they had never been told the items were rented from another store. Ace Rent to Own records showed Sandy Mullins had rented several items and only a few payments were made by Mullins, then she stopped communicating with the store.
The investigator issued a criminal citation to Sandy Mullins for theft. She did provide locations where the other items were sold. The investigation is ongoing.
