LOCATION: 18550 Hwy 77, Beatrice (truck Stop)

OFFENSE: Theft by Unlawful Taking

CASE #: 2015-3516

On 07-28-15, Josh Granado, age 30 of Live Oak Texas called to report that his I phone 6 and a pair of Willey X safety glasses were stolen from his truck while he was in the truck stop at 18550 Hwy 77 around 0630 this morning.

The GPS in the phone was used to find its location, and the phone was shown to be in the middle of the block in between Summit/Garfield and 10th/11th in Beatrice.  A Gage County Deputy went to that location and found Craig Dorn, age 42 of Beatrice standing outside of his car in the place it showed the I Phone to be.  Dorn was questioned about the phone and he denied knowing anything about the phone.  During a search of Dorn’s car an I Phone 6 phone case and the safety glasses were located.  The I Phone was located outside of the vehicle near the location where Dorn was standing when contacted by deputies.

Dorn was arrested for Felony Theft by Unlawful Taking and transported to the Gage County Detention Center.
