A deputy on foot patrol at the Gage County Fair at about 10:22 pm on Sunday, July 27, 2019, was approached by a juvenile who stated her friend was being threatened by an adult male who was trying to get the juvenile to fight him. The deputy was close to where the adult was threatening the juvenile and arrived prior to a physical assault occurred. After an on scene investigation, 19-year-old Austin Beck of Beatrice was arrested and given a criminal citation for assault related to his threats toward the juvenile.  Beck was banned from the Gage County Fair and the juvenile was escorted to his vehicle after his parents were contacted.
