Three Arrested Following Excuted Search Warrants

DATE & TIME: Tuesday June 9, 2020; 7:05 A.M.

LOCATION: 124 W. 1st St.; Blue Springs, NE

                       217 S. Douglas St.; Blue Springs, NE

                      712 N. 8th St.; Wymore, NE          

OFFENSE: Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Money, Maintaining a Drug House, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana, less than 1 oz.

CASE #: 2019-6307, 2020-2458, and 2020-2460

On 06/09/20 at approximately 7:05 AM the Gage County Sheriff’s Office along with assistance from the Beatrice Police Dept. and Nebraska State Patrol executed search warrants at three residences in Blue Springs and Wymore, NE.  The search warrants were executed as part of an investigation involving methamphetamine distribution in Gage County.  During the search at 124 W. 1st St. deputies located:

  • (7) individual plastic zip-lock baggies, each containing a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. The total weight of the substance was 3.3 grams.
  • (1) digital scale
  • Approximately 200 empty, unused plastic zip-lock baggies
  • $140 in U.S. currency
  • A suspected drug ledger documenting cash transactions
  • Six meth pipes
  • (3) snort straws
  • Marijuana pipes

Leslie Shepardson, age 49 of Blue Springs, and Dennis Pella, age 50, were located in the residence.  Shepardson was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Money, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Maintaining a Drug House.  Dennis Pella was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

David Shepardson, age 52 of Wymore, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance after a baggie containing a half-gram of suspected methamphetamine was located in his residence of 712 N. 8th St. in Wymore. 

During the search of 217 S. Douglas St. in Blue Springs, a small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia was located.  Samantha Hockman, age 30 of Blue Springs, was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana less than 1 oz.  Children were also located in the residence and the Department of Health and Human Services was also contacted regarding the living conditions in the residence.  DHHS will be coordinating services for the children.
