Three Vehicle Accident with Injuries

LOCATION: HWY 77 at/near Hickory Rd

OFFENSE: Three Vehicle Accident with Injuries

On January 7, 2020 at 2213 hours Deputies of the Gage County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a three vehicle accident with injuries at or near Hickory Road and US HWY 77. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation into the accident.

It was learned that a north bound gray 2001 Mitsubishi, driven by Lindsey McCaffrey of Beatrice NE, reported a tire failure causing this vehicle to cross over the grass median and impact a south bound black 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Hunter Buerskens of Beatrice, NE. The gray 2001 Mitsubishi then rolled over onto it's top where it was then struck by a south bound white 2015 Chrysler, driven by Cherish Lovell of Wymore NE.

Minor Injuries were reported in the Black Chevrolet Cruze. The driver and passenger in this vehicle were transported to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of none life threatening injuries.

US HWY 77 was closed for approximately 1 hour while the debris and vehicles were removed. Alcohol was not a factor in the MVA

Beatrice Fire and Rescue , Beatrice Rural Fire, and Beatrice Police Department assisted at the scene.

Investigation is being handled by the Gage County Sheriffs  Office.
