Trespassing/Stolen Vehicle

On March 24, Gage County Deputies were dispatched to the area of Southwest 32nd and Locust Road for a tow truck that was reported as driving through a field. The tow truck was located near Southwest 32nd and Maple Road. A short pursuit ensued after a traffic stop was attempted on the vehicle. The driver of the tow truck took several minimum maintenance roads and the pursuit was terminated when the tow truck left the roadway and entered a corn field.

The tow truck was later reported as being stolen from a burglary at a building located at the Gage County Fairgrounds and was recovered unoccupied by the Gage County Sheriff’s Office. The Gage County Sheriff’s Office is currently in the process of attempting to identify the driver of the vehicle and the individuals involved in the burglary at the fairgrounds.
