Two Vehicle Injury Accident @ Highway 136 & Hoyt Road

OFFENSE: Two-vehicle accident

On 07/18/16 at approximately 1:59 pm, members of Filley Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, and Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies, were dispatched to a car/tractor accident on Highway 136 near Hoyt Road.

The investigation determined that a red 2001 Hyundai being driven by Devon J Cooper, age 26 of Beatrice, was driving westbound on Highway 136 when it drove into the rear end of a ford tractor with a 3 point seeder being driven by Travis M Gregory, age 30 of Beatrice.

Cooper suffered from minor non-life threatening injuries, and refused medical transport.  Seatbelts were not in use, and airbags did deployed.

Cooper was cited and released for careless driving, no seat belt and driving under suspension.   Gregory was cited for emblem required for slow moving vehicle. 

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor in the accident.
