**UPDATE** POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY

OFFENSE: Possession of Stolen Property

On Friday April 8, 2016 the Gage County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 508 S. 10th St. in Beatrice.  The search warrant was executed as part of an investigation into multiple burglaries and stolen vehicles occurring in the region. 

During a search of the residence, deputies located multiple stolen items connected with burglaries in several counties.  Up to this point, the stolen property has been connected to nine burglaries or stolen vehicles occurring in Gage, Jefferson, and Washington (KS) Counties. 

In addition to the stolen property, a meth pipe was located in the residence.  The pipe contained white residue which pre-tested positive for methamphetamine.  Deputies also located several of the required components for maintaining an indoor marijuana growing operation.

As of 04/21/16, Casey J. Oldfield, age 26 of Beatrice, has been arrested for Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Burglar’s Tools, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Attempted Manufacture of a Controlled Substance.  The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected in the future.
