Violation of Sex Offender Registry Act

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office arrested Codie Lee Pribyl on Thursday, August 11, 2016 for failing to register a current address with the sheriff’s office as required by the Nebraska Sex Offender Registration Act.

Investigators for the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by the Beatrice Police Department to assist in an investigation of a registered sex offender who had been contacting juvenile females in the Beatrice area.  Officers from the Beatrice Police Department and an Investigator from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office attempted to locate Codie Lee Pribyl, a registered sex offender, at the address listed on his sex offender registration, but were told he no longer lived there and had only stayed there sporadically during the past month.

Codie Lee Pribyl was later located and interviewed regarding his contacting the juvenile females and was subsequently arrested for failure to register his address with the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.
