A Gage County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrested 23-year-old Timothy Lee Erks, a registered sex offender, at one of his registered addresses outside of Liberty on an arrest warrant for violation of the Nebraska Sex Offender Registration Act. The deputy confirmed the warrant and transported Erks to the Gage County Detention Center for booking.

The warrant was issued after an investigator from the Gage County Sheriff’s Office received information and reports from various sources that Timothy Lee Erks was living or staying at addresses not reported to the sheriff’s office as required under the Nebraska Sex Offender Registration Act.

Information and reports were compiled from citizens, the Diller-Odell Public School District, the Superior, Nebraska Police Department, and the Odell Village Marshal’s Office, as well as Erks’ employer during the nearly month long  investigation and the review of the information from all sources indicated Erks was in violation of the sex offender registration act for failure to report a new address. The investigator completed an affidavit for arrest warrant, which was sent to a judge and a felony warrant was issued for Erks’ arrest.
